After discovering a leak in my washing machine the grey seal has a hole in it so i need to order another seal/ ring.
Can i replace the new one myself or is it too difficult?
    What do you advise?

If you're competent and confident at mechanical DIY, then you can do it. But be warned, it's not a 5 minute job nor is it that straightforward on many of the newer machines.

If the hole is small you can use a bicycle repair kit to get the machine back up and running just for a short while until you order the part. Ive done this before and it lasted 3 days until the supplier got the part I required.

Yup, I've done that too, and its lasted for months!

Changing the seal is a pig awkward job, so be prepared to get frustrated!
