Does anybody have any (sensible) idea why Christmas lights are called Fairy Lights in this part of the world? (using it in a story)
    Thanks

I understand will-o-wisps (flashing lights in the swasps)
were mistaken fairies in the swamps
could have been spontaneous combustion of flamible gas pockets

I think it has something to do with a homosexual man by the name of Rodrigo , who was also responsible for the invention of Chinese food and the letter m and the word forever! I might be wrong but id say my information is right as i got it from a very reliable source, a Spanish fisherman i met while attempting to reach base camp on mount doom
