Just wanted to bump up that Irish Runner thread thats on page two or three.

Its great that there are so many pro-active voices on how Irish Athletics is presented and should appeal to the masses, but so disappointing that very little or any of it will be heeded. Me personally,i was very annoyed at how the extortionate Pearl Izumi was given front cover ad space.I like Frank Greallys notes at the end of days gone by and the little piece of the great Mj turning down a child for an autograph does not destroy the great quarter milers reputation one bit.
Athletics Weekly should be the blueprint in terms of delivery and size.We..can..do..better

Yes I agree with you, as does almost everybody.

A revamp is planned according to this http://www.athleticsireland.ie/content/?p=5349

"In 2009 the magazine will be revamped to bring you even more interviews and coverage of key events from road races, cross country to the exciting indoor campaign. It will also offer the very best in-depth coverage of the track and field season focusing on not only the World Championships, but also the best in schools juvenile and grass-roots athletics."
