    Big Brother auditions are coming to Dublin's RDS and website YouTube
    Irish wannabe housemates have two weeks to get ready to audition for the next series of Big Brother.

    The reality show is coming back again to Dublin's RDS after previous events and is hosting open auditions on Tuesday, January 13, in a schedule that also takes in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Birmingham, Newcastle, London and Manchester in Britain.

    For the first time, the programme has also teamed up with YouTube to launch an online "auditions channel''.

    Hopefuls can upload a one-minute audition video to impress producers.

    Shine

    Those who shine could be called to two closed auditions -- where they would not have to queue.

    Potential housemates can audition at www.youtube.com/bigbrotherauditions.

    David Williams, commissioning editor for Channel 4 and Big Brother said: "Every year we hold incredibly successful open auditions across the country and for our 10-year anniversary we wanted to reach even more hopeful housemates.

    "Even if you're not brave enough to upload an audition video, BB fans can try to spot potential by adding to favourites or comments, to let the producers know who they think would be entertaining in the house.

    "And the advice we offer to all our hopefuls is: 'Be yourself'.''

    Meanwhile, the race row surrounding the last series of Celebrity Big Brother will not lead to the show being "sanitised'' this year, Channel 4 said today.

    The show will return on Friday, after the treatment of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty by Jade Goody and other housemates caused a furore in 2007.

    "There's never been a case of sanitising Big Brother,'' David Williams, Channel 4 commissioning editor, said.
