Question!

Though I'm fairly active in boards, I don't really use many forums outsides my own interest (like everybody else, I suppose).

Because of this I need to ask a question (the answer is probably obvious to most of you, but eludes me!).

What's the difference between the "After Hours" forum and the "Nocturnal" forum?

Well... afterhours is somewhat of a free for all, random topics of everyday life. Usually lots of threads about crap.

Nocturnal is for the nocturnals of boards, insomniacs, noc cat etc... We discuss things of nocturnal nature, like cats and GIR and um... what music to listen to at 3am and reasons why we don't sleep and we have a general chat thread where we can have company at odd hours of the morning. I would assume it's a bit more of a community here than in AH.
Tends to be more active at night time.

That's all I got for now -- having not really slept....

Up earlyish for work... only got to sleep at 4. :(

    Read the charter OP...
The Nocturnal forum caters to many tastes:

Those who are up simply up late. Feel free to discuss topics relating to late night existance, lack of sleep, shift working, late night entertainment, or simply beat the night time lonliness chatting in the lair.

Those who like the spooky. Feel free to discuss all things supernatural and ghostly (seriously or tongue in cheek). SDooM is a werewolf, Nerin is a vampire and Orestes is a zombie anyway if you believe the rumours.

Those who enjoy the dark side of culture be it music, film etc. There is a late night film thread, a late night music thread, and a goth pictures thread. Feel free to start other threads related to the culture of the night.

Those who enjoy counter cultures such as gothic etc. Feel free to discuss issues relating to these sub cultures.

The nocturnal forum has a thriving night life and we host regular official and unofficial beers. All are welcome to these.

The following are the rules of the nocturnal forum, but common sense and mod commands rule all.

    Cheers folks.

Obviously I had thought that the Nocturnal forum would be for just that, however, I thought that there was a random nature to the posts, much like After Hours. My bad...! :D

Granted there are a few in jokes floating around. Or maybe we are a bunch of nerds who get the most bizarre references...

Now where did that son of mine leave Noxcat...

the noc forum is the most laid back, forum, controlled well by the mods, relaxing atmosphere (if that makes sence) and you dont have anyone jumpin down your throats for sayin the wrong thing (or what people perceive to be the wrong thing) isnt that right nerin?!

Spend a little time reading the forum and then you will know.
It has a nice atmosphere for posters to share their opinions .

Oh, insomnia / insanity can lead to a certain randomness at times, but ...
