AIB Maestro/Laser ATM card in India?

Arriving to Mumbai next tuesday and wondering if i can use my A.I.B (irish bank) ATM maestro/laser card in India? credit card looks like it wont arrive before i go :( and does anyone know what type of charges ill incur if it does work in their atm machines in India, cant find any info from AIB :( Thanx
