    Predictions time.

    1. Which ten players will amass the most world ranking points in 09? My educated guesses

    1. Woods - surprise surprise. He'll probably come back better than ever
    2. Garcia - probably finish second in a couple of majors
    3. Villegas
    4. Kim
    5. Harrington
    6. Westwood
    7. Singh
    8. Mickleson
    9. McIlroy - i think he'll have a big year, will win more than once.
    10. Stenson

    1. Sergio Garcia - showing excellent form, I think he's due it!
    2. Anthony Kim
    3. Robert Karlsson
    4. Camilo Villegas
    5. Ernie Els
    6. Phil Mickelson
    7. Padraig Harrington
    8. Jim Furyk
    9. Tiger Woods - coming back from a year long injury will not be easy, I think he'll get close to a couple of wins but it'll take time to get back to his best; bit like Ernie... Maybe I'll be wrong!!
    10.Vijay Singh

    1. Garcia (I really think he will break his major duck this year)
    2. Woods (If he comes back you can bet he will be ready, and he will win)
    3. Harrington
    4. Stenson
    5. Kim
    6. Villegas
    7. JB Holmes
    8. Mickleson
    9. Westwood
    10. Karlson

its hard to bet against tiger coming back and dominating the world of golf as per usual

definately a big year ahead for mcilroy

garcia is a bottler, he'll be good for the odd wgc event but when the majors come around hes not at the races. he'll end up majorless like monty for my money.

i reckon its about time some of the young players begin to step up to the plate and start to challenge tiger, they might never get there but id like to see someone coming out and really putting the sh*ts up tiger like garcia did way back in 99 at the uspga. pity he hasnt come on since then. theres far to many posers in golf today imo, garcia, scott, poulter, casey.. all great players but what have they won? for all the talk of great young talent theres not a single major between them. i hope the younger generation takes a cue from harrington and start playing with a hunger to win majors, not just be happy to rake in the cash without achieving a legacy in golf.

I can see Martin Kaymer having a good year in '09.

Agree with most of the posts but not sure about Villegas....McIlroy has a huge year ahead of him and I can imagine him giving a few big events a good go, eg the Accenture matchplay in Febraury.

Westwood has a great chance of getting his hands on a major....
