    Evening,

General question on business etiquette, I want to approach high up people in a business organization - large but not a national business. I want to approach him/her to sell my service to them.

What is the best way to approach this? Letter, then follow up with a phone call with a proposal of a short meeting to outline what I could bring to their table.

hmmm... well from my meandering experience in sales... the only way to get to the high enders the fat cats and the big dogs is either thorugh a contact or face to face... youll not get anywhere with letters or phone calls...

you need to warm the call (the people you are targeting are not wanting to waste their time with little ppl,) if you know someone who can introduce you to one.. your in then from there work the referal systems... and you may start to purvail...

good luck... as a rule of thumb i always think you can get an even 10% of your target wholl give you a chance to speak... so target 300 n youll get 30 possibles...

My experience in sales is that its a pure face to face business however i no longer work in this area and have now i sell and rentback properties rather than running round like ablue arsed fly... "and i believe this will interest you also" oh happy days they were....

good luck bro... stay positive and never give up!:D

    Hi OP

Everyone is different. What works for one doesn't work for everyone. I would very rarely take much notice of letters or emails unless it is something i'm very interested in. Try with the phone first then, send in the letter.

    Good luck.
