Hi i've been using a pc based rig for years with an m-audio delta 44 pci card and the omni I/O breakout board and been happy enough with it but the pc has crapped itself and i'm thinking of going mobile as powerfull laptops can be got cheaply enough these days. So can anyone give me any advice on a good firwire interface in the €600-€800 range. It will be mainly just used at home recording guitar and vocals but i also play in a band so it with be great if i could bring it to practise and feed 6 or 7 channels from the mixer into it and record with live.

Cheers, I had been looking at interfaces from presonus and motu but the fireface had passed me by. Time to do some reading;)
