Found this posted on kotaku, an article on massively.com about how to get the most out of Eve's trial period. Good for those who dive into the trial then get lost figuring out what to do.

    http://www.massively.com/2008/12/29/eve-evolved-making-the-most-of-your-eve-online-free-trial/

I've only had a quick look through the article myself.

Anyone know of any other such guides to help people starting out?

Unfortunately not, this seems to be the best example out. The rest are just skill train guides which turn into learning skill grinds which as we all know is necessary. :D

To say you can't get any fun out of the 14 day trial would be a lie, you can easily jump into a t1 frig/cruiser in the first day and go pirating around low sec or some local 0.0 space.

I've been guiding my house mates through their first few days of the trial and all of them are staying with the game for now bar one, but I don't think id be up to writing a guide. :(

Might be an idea to have a top ten "Things to do on your trial account before you quit" list or something. Flip jet cans, join factional warfare, visit Delve to announce all your base are belong to us or go to some 0.0 warzone and try to sneak onto some killmails.

Need to check whats technically possible with trial account restrictions tho.
