DDR3 - Triple Channel

    Im seeing DDr3 Tripple Channel mentioned everywhere, whats the trippel channel related to? ive 4gb of ddr3 in my computer but in two sticks am i right in saying the tripple channel is similar to stripe mode when setting up an arrary of hdds or something?

    Not worth it unless you want to upgrade the mobo, cpu and ram. Bit of a hefty price tag.

    Ive the new i7 and mobo.... the ram is 1600mhz but its only sold in pairs but i want a third stick now

    There's loads of three stick kits available now to go along with the i7's.

    yea but ive already bought 4gb of ddr3 @1600mhz which wasnt cheap.... i might try to off load on adverts and buy a tripple channel set

    @cuddlesworth: were those performance test by Tom's Hardware done with a 64 or a 32-bit processor? I'm thinking with a 64-bit Dualcore the Dualchannel might work much better.
