Was on a BMI flight from Salzburg to Cork on Saturday 27th when 10 minutes into the flight we had to land in Munich due to the motor of a cooling fan burning out. Anyone know if you can get the ATC feed for Munich?

Tried it-No joy. Maybe Munich don't publish recordings.

No- The LiveATC feeds are run by normal people from their homes, not the actual authorities!

:confused:Should the crew have told us we were landing? We didn't know anything until we landed??There wasn't any major panic just a few hail Marys.

Not necessarily - the priority (as probably dictated by standard operating procedures) would be to execute a safe landing as soon as possible & to concentrate on doing so.

Courtesies go out the window (metaphorically speaking!). Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.

    Can't really argue against that.
