    Hi,

I am running windows xp home edition. I have a 250GB Hard disk drive in my laptop. I have it partitioned in the following way:

Partition 1: C:\ [where windows is installed] (80GB)

Partition 2: D:\ [I created this partition for files to be stored] (110GB)

    Unallocated Space (60GB)
What I wish to do is to add the 60GB of unallocated space to Partition 2 D:\ so that I will now have 2 partitions as follows:

Partition 1: C:\ [where windows is installed] (80GB)
Partition 2: D:\ [I created this partition for files to be stored] (170GB)
    ----
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

    Dan.

Open up computer management by typing "compmgmt.msc" without the quotes into a Run dialog (Start -> Run) and pressing Enter.

Go to Disk Management under Storage and you should see your disk with the partitions and unpartitioned space. You should be able to right-click the D partition and choose to Extend it.

You'll probably need to be using and Administrator account to do this.
