Hey there, I'm considering heading over to Edinburgh for the game in Murrayfield on the 14th March. Now I'd prefer to DIY the trip rather than be raped by one of the tour operators. The sort of minor-major difficulty is tickets. I'm not a member of a rugby club and I don't know anyone who is and bar ebay there doesn't seem to be any chance of getting them otherwise, should I just chance ebay?

Firstly, under no circumstances should you buy touted tickets on ebay...ever...

This fixture is always the easiest Irish away game to get tickets for...many times Ive been over there people have been trying to sell tickets at below cost as there is so many floating around.

Scottish rugby sell these to the public in blocks. I get emails off them all the time. Get onto their site and register,so you get the emails too:

    https://eticketing.co.uk/scottishrugby/default.aspx

The current message there is "Scotland v Ireland is now sold out, next public sale of tickets Wednesday 21st Janauary"...which mean Jan 21st they will be selling another batch to the public.

The Irish allocation is distributed via the clubs, so if you know of anyone involved in a club, this type of fixture usually has some floating around....
