I'm looking for a Full HD Plasma or LCD TV.

    Its main uses will be:
    Blu-Ray, and gaming via Computer
    PS3 and Xbox 360

It needs to be around 40".

I've also seen the newer motionflow technology compared to the old ones.
    The difference is unbelievable!! :O:O
The refresh rates might be the same on them but the newer model produces a clear, less grainy image and a solid almost unrealistic frame rate and i taught it was so coool. B)

It will also be hooked up to Logitech Z5500 surround sound system

I'm willing to spend up to €1000

Any reccomendations of wheter to go Plasma or LCD?
    where to get it?
    and which telly?

    Can someone please help me?

I've seen these are in my price range:
    Panasonic TH42PZ80
    Sony Bravia 40w4500
    PANASONIC TH-42PZH8FV Plasma Screen
    PANASONIC TH-42PZ8

I suppose that richer sounds and pixmania is the place to go?

You seem to have done your research, nothing to add.

Please edit you "sig" - a touch on the long side, all that's missing is what you had for your breakfast..........

I'd get the w4500 if i were you. Definitely for gaming anyway, zero input lag in game mode and blurays will look great on it

Quite a few posts on boards have recommended Richer Sounds but I have been trying to contact them for almost a week and cannot get through. I've left two messages on their (no) answer machine and haven't got a call back.

If its this difficult to get in touch when I want to give them €1,000 of business, how difficult would it be if I have a problem with my purchase and want something from them?

    No thanks.

You don't think that they just might be busy because it's sales time?

Speaking as a recent customer and based on many, many first hand stories posted on boards, they would be the first place I would contact for this sort of purchase.

There's a section on here. Try that. Also, if leaving a message, don't forget to give the +353 in front of your number, otherwise they won't be able to contact you back.

Are you ringing directly to the Belfast shop? They can be hard to get as there very busy ATM. I tried for 2 days and couldn't get though but got someone in the end. Most shops where there busy barly give you the time of day but the guy I was chattin to didnt rush me and was extreamly helpfull and friendly. Not rushing people on the phone is probably why its so hard to get through! :D

From what I've seen any bordies who have had problems with stuff have had no issues getting it replaced or fixed.

Yeah but the panel being good quality is only part of the process of building a good TV. The digital processing of the image is really what makes one TV better then another.
