Good source of spokes

I'm just about to build a new set of wheels using a pair of Mavic Open Sport rims I bought prematurely in the summer and tiagra hubs got cheap from CRC.

Has anyone ever managed to find a decent source of spokes online with a bit of bulk discount?

sjscycles.co.uk do 6 packs and the price is ok until you factor in £15 delivery and then it's fairly similar to paying 50-60c per spoke in an LBS

I think CRC give the best price online for spokes (i.e they will sell you 72). Failing that, try ebay.

Thanks - unfortunately CRC only do sizes for mountain bike wheels - I mailed them in the summer and they said they have no plans to stock sizes for 700c wheels

Best I can get so far is about £35 delivered for 4x20 from Parker International - the way sterling is, I'll probably order there in a couple of days and keep searching in the meantime. I check ebay quite regularly but it doesn't seem to be such a good bet and because the rear will be dished then I need 3 different spoke sizes which complicates the bulk buying.

The new leaders in the spoke hunt are

Spa Cycles with plain guage and double butted Alpina spokes for 20p and 25p each respectively
Cycle Basket with double butted ACI spokes for 15p each

From previous enquiries with Cycle Basket about hubs they probably charge £10-£15 shipping and I would think Spa would be the same
