I moved into my new house on the 9th and ordered broadband and TV online that day for an install on the 16th. So everything is fine and I get a confirmation text. Then at 4pm on the 15th less than 24 hrs before the install, I'm get a call from them saying I need to fax photo ID before close of business or the install will be cancelled.
I send the fax and hear nothing back so call them at 7:30pm, where the CS rep tells me that no order existed for that address, and he wasn't able to explain why they phoned me earlier. So new he has to set up a brand new order and the install is due on the 19th. On the 18th I get a message saying its cancelled, turns out that the fax number they gave me was for the wrong dept and it never made it to where it was meant to go so I ring back and end up emailing it in and he says he'll see what he can do to get the install reinstated.
    I hear nothing back.
I ring back on the 19th and am told the ID has been received and that I now can't have an install until the 29th so I book it in grudgingly between 9am and 1pm.
No sign by 1pm today, so I ring and she says the engineer is due out and she'll get him to contact me. I hear nothing, so I ring back and am told he's not answering his phone but it is on his list.....
So its 3:35 now, I don't expect them to arrive and I'm probably going to have to phone and arrange another install this evening. If I was in an inflexible job, this would have been the 4th day I'd have to book off work just to get them out here to do something I could do myself if they send the equipment out in the post.

    Mandrills I believe.

Faxes are horrible though... you should always ring up right away to check that they got it... all too often they disappear into black holes.

Your experience with NT-Hell would actually be an insult to monkeys.

Sorry to hear that, but to balance it up a bit I ordered on the 19th for an install on the 29th - received text & email, the guy rang 30min before he arrived and he took about 20min to install everything - 20mb/DVR/Phone.

    Very happy.
