I'm going to Paris in January with my family for four days. We'd most likely split up and do different things when we are there, and I was just wondering a few things.

I have an account with AIB, where I have a Laser card. And I have an account with Halifax, where I have a visa-debit card.

Will my Laser (with Maestro symbol) be accepted at an ATM in Paris? And will my Halifax Visa be accepted when paying for things?

And is there a charge to use them? I heard there was, but mum said she wasn't charged in Portugal when she used hers...

They're probably stupid questions, but I haven't travelled with my cards before so I don't know how it all works internationally.

    Thanks for any help. :)
