    Hey,
I'm looking to find cheap flights to Croatia- either Dubrovnik, Split or Pula. I've been searching the web but haven't been able to come up with anything cheaper than 500 euro return (for 2 people). Seems a bit steep to me...
Anyone got any tips/advice? I'm looking to go mid-June.
    Thanks

As you are in Dublin (according to your avatar) you have several choices,

    To Dubrovnik,
You bite the bullet and pay Aer Lingus the €250/per person from Dublin,

You could fly from Belfast International with Jet2 for around £380 or €395 with the weak sterling, this is for two people. However you must factor in getting to Belfast and car parking charges as with Dublin a friend could drop you to the airport or get a bus/taxi etc.

You could fly from Dublin to Gatwick with Ryanair return for around €170 and then take either Croatia Airlines, British Airways, Easyjet, Thomsonfly or Monarch Airlines to Dubrovnik. Alternativly you could go Dublin-London Luton-Dubrovnik with Thomonfly. Easyjet seems to be the cheapest at around £165 or €174, the rough cost of transiting via london would around €344 and you would want to allow nice times for connecting flights. But is saves dragging yourself up to Belfast. Watch out for the Aer Lingus sale too, prices seem to be varying massivly at the moment, (check late at night!)

You can kindof pick and choose your routes Wikipedia can help!

    Dublin Airport, Airlines and Destinations
Belfast International Airport, Airlines and Destinations
    Dubrovnik Airport, Airlines and Destinations
    Split Airport, Airlines and Destinations
    Pula Airport, Airlines and Destinations

I have never been to Croatia, but do like the challenge of knitting toghether flight plans having flown so often via many different airports, that and I am terribly bored and slightly insomniac!

Ok I've found a pretty good deal with easyjet from Gatwick to Dubrovnik, working out about 185 euro return. The only problem is the return flight arrives in Gatwick at 22.15, and there doesn't seem to be any connecting flights to Dublin at this time of night... Anyone know of any airlines that fly at this time? It's just staying overnight in an airport hotel really isn't an option for us.
It's so annoying, I've found the perfect deal with easyjet after so much hunting and now this! Any help much appreciated, thanks.

The last flights to Ireland appear to leave before 10.00 with the earliest flight from London to Dublin being from Stansted Airport at 6.30am with Ryanair (however transferring between the London Airports by train is uber expensive!)

The earliest from Gatwick is 08.45am with Aer Lingus and Ryanair departs at 9.55am. I suggest Aer Lingus and lots of Coffee for around €70 for 2 persons one way from gatwick. Airports at night are both dreary and intriguing though! Have fun!! An well stocked iPod and laptop with wi-fi. As two people are travelling one could try sleep while the other keeps guard, (watch your valuables!)

Ireland is really annoying to get off but get off it you should and via the uk. its a longer trip but u'll spend a day travelling anyway. I've always flown out of cork to london somewhere and out again to croatia or trieste in italy. try skyscanner or something like that help knite everything together.
