Running films

Sorry if this has been done before, but I watched 'Without Limits' about Steve Perfontain, last night and enjoyed it. Used to like 'Chariots of fire' until I read that much of it was made up. I remember a film I saw many years ago called 'The Jerico mile' which if I remember was about a guy in prison who had to win a mile race to get out of prison or something like that. Has anyone else seen any good running movies?

Was a lot of Chariots of Fire made up? I always thought it was quite faithful and true to life. I really like it anyway, very good film.

Id definitely recommend "Pre", the other Prefontaine film. Without Limits seems to be rated more highly but I personally prefered "Pre" as I thought Jared Letho was class as the man himself and I preferred the depiction of Bowerman in it.

Definitely check out "running brave" the story of Billy Mills a native American who came from nowhere to win gold in the Olympics 10000m.

"Loneliness of the long distance runner" is a classic as well (really captures the joy and freedom of running) and "Saint Ralph" is supposed to be quite good but its sitting on my hard drive waiting to be watched.
