Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to see this yet? I watched it yesterday and I have to say, it was rather good.

There is absolutely no doubt that, in terms of performance, this is Van Dammes finest movie. In fact, putting aside what people come to expect from him, this is his finest movie overall.

Van Damme plays himself, a decrepit, broken actor short on quality work, in a custody battle with his ex wife.

There's no doubt that although the movie is fictional, there are genuine moments of sincerity from Van Damme, most notably from a surreal and touching monologue from the man himself.

    Definitely worth a watch!!

I saw it a few weeks ago. It is quite brilliant. I hope it gets a foreign Oscar nom, it certainly deserves to.

Its a strange movie. Its all over the place in terms of narrative. Long, pointless scenes that tend to drift because the director want to show how novel it is that its all one shot. But it looks great, its opening sequence is cracking, with a great payoff and i have to say (and im a Muscles fan) that Van Damme's confessional scene made the hairs on my neck stand up. It's hard to say if he was actually acting or if it was truly him. Either way its one of the best scenes of the year. Worth seeing.

Just saw it, thought it was terrific. When I heard about it I thought it was going to be a funny self-parody, but I was shocked that it was a genuinely good drama. Van Damme was fantastic, I don't think I've seen him do anything like his piece of monologue in the middle.

    Can't recommend it enough.

Finally got a chance to see it but I had to turn it off half way through because I was falling asleep, but I have to admit, it was pretty amazing, for originality if nothing else.

Totally redeems Van Damme in my eyes.

I saw it last year in Galway Film Fleadh. A fantastic film and who'd have thought that Jean Claude could deliver a great monologue?

It was released on February 2, over a month after chalkitdown1 made his post.

It's not on DVD in USA til April 28
