So I was home for Christmas day and visiting my aunts, they remarked how slim i was, that I had lost a Lot of weight, although ive always been slim.
However I do feel that Ive been lost a bit too much over the last few months.

Im 6ft4, male and my weight is just over 71kgs. Using an online calculator It puts me just above the normal weight for my height, I'd like to bump that up.
I dont eat much junk food mostly healthy stuff.

Because of work(quite physical, active work) I dont always get a chance for a proper dinner and I think that this is the root of it, missing dinner and being active.

Are there certain foods which would help me top-up my weight? Should I take supplements?
I take Casilian (milk protein) ever now and again for muscle tiredness (but it has a very strange texture when drinking so its not a regular part in my diet).

    Thanks guys,
    M

We have a Nutrition & Diet forum under Rec > Food & Drink. If you head over there and have a read of some of the topics there, you might pick up some pointers.

I'm 6'3" and I'm 67kg. If you are worried about being unhealthy, then see a doctor. Don't just try and put on weight just because you think you need it. Chances are that you are perfectly healthy.

the answer is easy. Eat more. You are burning more calories through work than you are eating. If you want to gain a little weight, you need to up the food intake.

More protein, carbs, and good fats will go the trick. Meat, pasta, nuts, eggs, avacados, etc. Missing dinner won't help at all. Just have a late dinner.

No need for supplements but they can be useful to increase protein intake. Just make sure you use them in addition to what you usually eat.

Also cut back on any stimulants like caffeine and nicotine. They will increase your metabolism.

    Hi,

read up on diet strategies. You should look for a healthy, balanced diet and make sure that you eat 5 times a day rather than just 2 or 3 times. Also remember that the breakfast is the most important meal of the day; make sure it contains some fat to 'turn on' the digestive system. Allow yourself some sweeties but don't turn it into a habit. You can also supplement your diet with protein supplements (e.g. milk shake-kinda-things). You can always take small nut/musli bars in a pinch (without too much added sugar!). Sorry to say but you also need to eat regularly, at fixed times so your body adapts to it. If you regularly have no time to eat a proper dinner, make plans around it and then stick to those. Don't eat too late because the digestive system won't work as well if you eat less than 3 hours before going to sleep.

    Good luck.

P.S./Edit: If you want to gain weight, you should first look to increasing your total body mass. You can always increase the muscle ratio of it later if you feel that it's lacking.
