    Delightful as flower macros are, I finally decided to get over my reservations about portraiture and start a "Rogue's Gallery" during the festive season.

    The middle of the night, with high ISO and lack of concentration due to a hearty dinner may not give the best results. But it is a start...

    Strangely, the portrait I took has disappeared from that thread. The subject claims it is a dastardly plot by some secret spy society...

    Whatever the reason (I usually assume some techincal glitch where a switch has been hit without thinking in the central control system) here is another thread where the portrait in question may be found:
