AC3 audio is very quiet

    when playing back video files with AC3 audio, its very very quiet? Ive AC3 filter and codec installed. Anyway i can increase the volume.

    That's the one I use.

    You can increase the master gain level in options. AC3 is like that by design.

    How many speakers are you playing on? I find it very quiet most of the time anyway regardless of set up as said up the gain and there are also some good settings to play with in Media Player Classic and VLC if you're willing to give them a go.

    well i tend to use microsoft media player 11 for most stuff and winamp. ill take a look at this master gain. Im using only 2 speakers usually via the headphone socket and into an amp.
