Terminator Salvation, Watchmen and Transformers 2 are my big pics.
Of course I'm a whore when it comes to shiny action packed blockbusters.

Coraline is due around February, which sounds excellent, even though I'm not the target audience. Same for Monsters vs Aliens and Up. I'm also hoping for good things from:
    - The International, by the director of Run, Lola, Run, with Clive Owen and Naomi Watts
    - Star Trek.
    - Terminator: Salvation

I won't be going to see I Love You, Man, even though it features cameos by my favourite band (Rush). I've never cared much for "'bro-mance", I have to say...

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Couple of great looking films in the first few months. Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Rachel Getting Married (which is meant to be fantastic), Synecdoche, New York (been too long since we've had some Charlie Kaufman craziness), The Wrestler, Milk and Che are all due out pretty soon.

Blockbuster terms, I await Watchmen with a mix of cautious optimism and extreme pessimism. Can't wait for Up either, after Pixar completely topped their own high standards with Wall-E.

And heres hoping Ponyo on the Cliff will make an English language release next year too (vaguely remember saying that last year too). Looks fantastic.

you forgot to mention the film "S. Darko", a rip off of the brilliant film Donnie Darko from (2001)
i hate the way sequels ruin films :(

+1 to Public Enemies, havent seen a Michael Mann film I didnt like yet and cant wait for this one.

I am sort of sick of Christian Bale at this stage but seeing Johnny Depp in a non-pirate non-Burton film will be great.

At this point of 2008 we can only post our "looking forward to" lists which relate to blockbusters. But anyway on my list:

Benjamin Button - getting great reviews
Transformers 2: Im such a kid
Star Trek - just so i can moan about the new kirk and question why a starship is being manned by a crew of rookies.
Watchmen - this needs no explanation! (Damn you Fox!)
The Great Buck Howard - Malkovich, looks good
The Unborn - second half of trailer looks animal!
My Name Is Bruce - Bruce Campbell!

Fillms im more curious to see but am scared at the same time:
    S. Darko - i dont even know if it has a bunny!
Terminator Salvation - McG, enuff said
Avatar - probably a pile of much that looks fancy
Knowing - Nic Cage is a "jim carey/bruce willis did it before" role
Friday 13th - ahem nothing to see here...
Plague Town - watch the trailer, yes that was a Bus Eireann bus stop in the background...

    Im not looking forward to:
Wolverine - i dont see the point of having 2 and a half good x-men films and then throwing that all out the window to do a wolverine story that has nothing to do with the x-men movies.

Oh dear, a good few films I'm looking forward to. There's only about 3 films I want to see this month, which is pretty pathetic :(
    But for 2009:
    Role Models
    Sex Drive
My Bloody Valentine 3-D (As long as it's better than that Scar 3-D thing) Seven Pounds
    Tokyo Sonata
    Bolt (3D hamsters :D)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
    Friday the 13th
    Hotel for Dogs :o
Confessions of a Shopaholic *girlie squeal*
    Che-Part 2
    Watchmen
    Marley and Me
Lesbian Vampire Killers (like you don't want to see that!)
    Dogging: A Love Story
    Monsters Vs Aliens
    Race to Witch Mountain
    The Uninvited
    Star Trek XI
maybe Angles and Demons, can give or take on that one
    Terminator Salvation (for my birthday!)
    Transformers 2
    Ice Age 3
    2012
Up (hope it's as amazing as I imagine it to be)
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
    Toy Story in 3D
CIRQUE DU FREAK (Been loking forwad to this since I read the book, many many many moons ago!)

Well, I think that list will do me for the next while!
