is there gonna be a donkey kong game for the wii released

    I was looking for donkey kong on the wii and the only one that exists is a racing game. I'm looking for a donkey kong platform game ; something like Mario

    Is there gonna be a Donkey Kong game like this for the wii

    There are a few out on Virtual Console, rereleases, the Donkey Kong Country games. You can download them from the WiiShop. It might tide you over till they get around to releasing an original for Wii. I have not heard of anything in the pipeline myself though.

    Rare developed all of the previous DK platform games and Microsoft own them now. DK and his associated characters are still owned by Nintendo, but they're more likely to develop games using their more famous characters, so new DK platformer seems unlikely. It's a pity, since DK64 was brilliant. But Nintendo might surprise us!

    There was a DK game released recently for the DS, DK Jungle Climber. I know that this would be a much smaller undertaking than a Wii game, but it might give some hope to the OP.............................:)

    The Donkey Kong Jet Race for the wii was a poor effort, not a real DK game at all.

    Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, a DK platformer using the bongos as the sole controls which was released for the Gamecube is being ported to the Wii. I think it's due to arrive in 2009.

    Yeh Jungle Beat is coming to the Wii along with a few more gamecube games in yet another stroke of business genius by Nintendo!!

    Apparently Bongo use is out of the question though..
