I listen to it for the laugh sometimes. Though it leaves me kind of depressed knowing that a high percentage of people in my city are complete idiots. Who can't speak English properly.

I'm convinced that people ring up to take the piss. There was one show a couple of years ago about people throwing rocks off bridges at moving cars on the motorway. A couple of young un's rang in claiming to be people who part-take in this activity. Their only justifcation was "ye dont be tinkin of wots gunna happen wen ye trow dem". It got a lot of people very angry. It was hilarious. It takes talent to get people as angry as they did. I'm thinking they were internet trolls escaped from the internet who were before their time.


It was so hilarious that I taped it. I must try and upload that to youtube one day. Just have to find a way to transfer from audio tape to PC.

ive thrown my radio accross the room on a few occasions because of "zultan" ringing in and talking sh*t, theirs a few regulars who are really annoying-another awl-one with a really high-pitched voice anyone know her name?

rang in once when i was like 17 and locked, basically just took the piss, got a good few texts the next day, apparently i was very funny slagging the two of them

Good analogy, that show realy is the equivalent of trolling.

Over in the radio forum some poster was doing a media course in Ballyfermot college. They ask people to take on a role guranteed to get a reaction.
Like "Jacinta" in the city centre living with her fella and claiming thousands in benefits and never working and laughing at suckers working

It immediately winds up people and gets a reaction. But it's all put on

i used to work on the 98fm late night talk show as work experience and the host hated joan as she would ring in for everything so there was a rule of only letting her on once a week or something like that

apparently she got pissed of with the host over something and started listening to fm104 for a while and the producers in 98fm found out and banned her from ever being on again......its a cut throat world late night talk shows i tell ya

they weren't watching the Paralympics. Kennedy was trying
to make out that people who chose not to watch it or that didn't get much from it; that

I used to listen to him when I was a teenager back in 2001 or thereabouts. On the night before Halloween I was in my friends' flat and she turned the radio on and there he was, still alive and broadcasting from the FM104 "haunted castle of terror" (Charleville Castle, Co. Offaly)- I couldn't believe he was still broadcasting!
