A question about locked threads

Why are threads being locked when people discuss the boxes, as in when people express delight at them being knocked off, or disgust when they get re-activated.
By all means lock a thread if people mention codes etc, but EVERYONE knows the boxes exist, alot of people think they are perfectly OK, if we can discuss them here some people might just might switch them off if they find out that they are stealing.
How is any harm being done by venting our disgust at the theives??

I guess its because there is about a 99% chance that someone will say something against charter in even the anti-box threads.
Better to be safe than sorry.

    Yes, as Jumpy said.

It's also for the general good of boards.ie which could get itself in hot water due to the use of these "dodgyboxes" being a Theft of Service. Discussion of such could be seen as promoting this illegal activity.
