possible battery problem

    my 01s40 volvo 1.9 td has it's original battery in it, anyhow recently the display has been flickering ever so slightly when the indicators are on.

    today went to drive the car and i notice the clock had reset itself as has the tripomoter, everytime the cars turned off now and on again this happens, also the light that says a door is open is on, even though alls closed, could this be a battery issue, that it just needs replacing?

    Re the door open warning light - is the interior light on? This would drain the battery.......

    only when the car door is open, otherwise no it's not coming on.
