I have an old o2 xda2 lying around was wondering could i use it as a remote for the tv Surround sound etc as i have an xbox and ps3 hooked up to it and have different settings for each ie tv channel surround input etc. It would be cool to get a one touch soultion if possible like those harmony remotes only with out spending any money :D.:D

not sure if it would suit.
take a look at housebot. it is a software home automation server by a company called cebotics.
i am using pda's as software remotes to control lighting, audio etc.
