Right you lovely folks of the internet, quick question for ye!

Centre pull calliper brakes, are they any use (not canti's). Reason I ask is I've an old pair here earmarked for a fixie build, and I'm wondering is it worth using them, or should I look for a side pull. Also, does it change the type of lever that's compatible with it, or will any standard lever do? Will they stop you, or is it a case of 'they'll slow your passage a bit'?

centre pulls would be better than old-fashioned single pivot calipers but the more modern double pivot calipers are the best. I've got a single pivot calipers on the front of my fixie and it stops me fine - it's a long drop too which reduces the stopping power a bit. Thinking of investing in tektro long drop double pivot though

normal brake lever will be fine

Deadly, thanks stuff... all I need now is a nice looking cable stop for the fork crown :)
