Happy Christmas to all. I really enjoyed the way this forum has grown over the past year, the people I've met, the sense of an emerging community.

So to all, have a great Christmas, hopefully full of great coffee, and to all those getting coffee related presents, be sure to pop in and tell us what you got afterward.

    :pac:

A very happy Christmas indeed! It's been great meeting so many really sound people over the last year out of this forum. Here's looking forward to the trend continuing for 2009.

Happy Christmas to all, I was new to this forum during the year but found everyone to be extra helpful and friendly it was a pleasure. It's nice to see everybody treated the same regardless of their experience or knowledge.

So I got my gaggia classic yesterday (yep, netrade delivered in time!) and I was very impressed with it, even using the block of ground coffee that came with it. It's an improvment of 164% on my last machine so I'm delighted. I also used some starbucks beans with it (it was a gift) and ground using the gaggia mm, was not as nice as the pre-ground, didn't produce much crema but I still think I need a while to get the right. I hope to sort out the grinder issue soon, will probably look at going with the iberital MC2 on happy donkey. Enough rambling, time for a coffee! Enjoy the rest of the Christmas everyone.

My good wife got me a custom engraved Reg Barber and the Scott Rao Technique Book.

Someone else got me a nice K-type thermocouple for measuring brew temps.

My girlfriend got me a cafetiére for Christmas so my coffee adventure is only beginning. I'm hoping to get a grinder for my birthday at the end of Feb.

So I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of me in here!

Belated happy christmas & even happier new year to you all. Thanks for the advice over the year. You're a lucky bunch, getting all these coffee related gifts from loved ones. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts and won't even by me a cup of coffee - but I'm very close to buying myself a Brewtus!

Próspero Año Nuevo and best wishes to all for 2009!

May all your espressos be god shots and your greens contain no stones.

Now where's that bottle of Havana that won't finish itself. :D
