DSTT FIX???

    For anyone with faulty fake Dstt cards .Just spotted this online.Might be worth a try. http://www.dealextreme.com/forums/Forums.dx/Forum.15613~threadid.236310.

    It didnt work on mine but mine might have got damaged when i opened it up as it was superglued tight.Some people got it to work so no harm in giving it a try.

    I ran the software on a blank microSD, then I got the generated FakeRecovery.nds and dragged it to desktop and loaded it onto a working fake with 1.15, I then ran it from 1.15 put in the broken card and it fixed it in seconds.

    Check the contacts on your card are not bent out of shape, I hear that is a common fault. When I put in a new card I stick it in a good few times to clean off any dirt or oxidation on the contacts. Maybe try gently bending them out with a pin to make better contact if you can.

    EDIT: some games are not working and on some it says the card is removed. I did it again properly not just dropping the nds file onto the working memory card. this made a difference, it has some bin file on it which gave a different readout. still not working on all games. I will try again tomorrow with a genuine card. When I load it the screen says version 1.16, so it might need a genuine card to properly work. Or else my DSTT was turned on way to many times with the wrong software and is now screwed for good. THe person who had it thought it was normal and used it a lot, turning on until it worked.
