brand new camera... 5D II :(

big dirty blob .. even at wide apertures you can see it ...

what type of kit can i use for the 5d II , the just FF one ?

So annoying ... only put 1 lens on the camera ....

must have been there since production ...

in fact makes we wonder about how clean the production environment is ...
cos after the 1st time i cleaned my 400D sensor i never got any dust , and i was changing lenses all the time...

just use a rocket blower... I've often gotten dust on the 40D sensor and the rocket blower always takes it off.

I also have an arctic butterfly static brush which is safer then trying chemicals but nearly always found the blower is enough

EDIT - is it def on the sensor - can you see it in taken photos or just in the viewfinder - it could be on the focusing screen
Also clean the back of the lense - the bit pointing into the camera -

I once had what i thought was dust but it was dirt on the camera side of the lense

Anyway, a simple blower should do it

from my experience with the focusing screens - be ultra careful what you clean them with, can be very difficult if you get anything on it.

    that cleaner is useless....

it looks like a big blob the rocket blower should do it ...what im worried about
is if the 5dII sensor is a different material and the current FF kits might not suit it ?

Paid 55 euro for a wet sensor clean for my dads KM 7d, he now has no excuse to use his own camera now!

I have the just kit ... dunno whether to use it or not ...

it is CMOS , same as 5D ... so it should work ... but the cleaning system
is flourine coated ? ... is this on the sensor ?

doesn-t auto sensor cleaning work by vibrations ?

Yes it does. It works a treat on my D300. I have not had to clean the sensor since I bought it.
