    What'd be wrong with a European army. Would the Irish "soldiers" finally have to earn their wages properly, instead of training for a war we'd never take part in?

    The Swiss do it and they are truely Neutral, Conscription included. Not like ourselves who have sold our Neutrality ourselves, NOT by EU pressure.

    I'm just glad Maírt hasnt seen this post yet, i'm quite sure he's seen more action than most here on Boards;) as for going back on topic...i think it was the space pope who done it, either that or oompa loompas

    It'd be great if we joined some European Army.

    Then we'd get to join in all the silliness of war, like armoured bears and tesla troopers! We could always use more conscripts and flak troopers to make whacky references to the USSR! Think of all the crazy tanks there'd be!

    I don't know why war gets such a bad reputation!
