I recently got my trek 1400 SL stolen and have now the money to purcahse a new bike.

My question is what bike should I buy considering i really liked my old bike. And should i buy it over the Net or in Ireland?

Any tips on good reviews on racers is much appreciated.
just dont want to rush into a prucahse.

For that kind of money ... you are laughing ... Unless you have to have a Trek ... I would steer you online.

    Best buys seem to be
    PlanetX dura ace self build
    Kiron Scandium
Would have said Focus Cayo ... but 2008 version only available in XS size and 2009 is nowhere near the same spec
There is also the Felt Z35 on Wiggle on sale and I quite like how they look

If you do want Trek then these guys stock them (I haven't dealt with them myself, but they're not too far over the border and they seem to have some good prices).

I have been looking at those sites your recommended and also wiggle since my friend has premium membership.

What sort of frame should I be looking at, seems for around €1500 you get low end carbon frames or high end Aluminium frames with carbon fork.

    What bran would you recommend?

Id go 2nd hand as nothing can compete value wise. I bought a 2007 Specialized tarmac pro in excellent condition from cycleways 2nd hand for less than half its original price. They had 2 left when I bought mine 6 weeks ago.

    Keep an eye out here:

Nice TCR2 for 1300 yoyos if the frame fits.

These guys are good -- I got my Scott up there for a great price. At the current exchange rate 1,425.00 GBP = 1,484.96 EUR .. you could get a nice pinarello.
