Play.com are a popular net retailer,Ive got a few items from them in the past .You can click a little flag to either pay in sterling or euro.Check out their competitive exchange rate !!!1 euro = 70p.That means that a GB£200 Acer Aspire One is selling for 280 euro insted of at the very very most 220 euro (should actually be exactly 212 but you pay over the odds on the Credit Card anyway). How about a GB£690 Sony AR71M for 952 euro when it should be 734 euro call it 752 for an even 200 euro rip off!!!
Todays rate is about 93p so thats an almost exactly 25% rip off...Thing is does anybody know if you can 'force' sterling payment or do you default to euro when you give your address?

That's great...Play don't deliver and electronics to Ireland.
Take it over to consumer issues they get one of these "Play's exchange rates are crap" threads almost every day.
