(@Taxi Drivers in Particular) Tomorrow Night

Headin out for a jar or six with a few mates. Most of them being from a different area, we're heading to their local, which is about 15 minutes by car from mine. If I was to finish up at half ten, would I have a shot at picking up a taxi? Or would I be better booking one? Or just driving and not drinking?

    Cheers.

Sorry for the hijack and the possibly noob question also :o

I don't know when pubs stop serving on a Wednesday night but will they definitly stop serving after 12 due to it being Christmas day at midnight?
    What about clubs?

Sure I know some pubs stay serving but is this Christmas at midnight an extra factor you wouldn't normally see on a Wednesday night

Just cycle to the pub. Cycling drunk is fun, it will probably only take ye 25mins.

Get a hotel beside the pub, and drink the night away.

Thanks guys. I'll phone a couple of companies tomorrow and see what the story is. Won't risk trying to hail one on the road.

And illegal, if it's on the road or footpath.

    You're confusing me here.

You go out with your friends to buy a jar? Could you not just go to Tesco and buy a jar of chocolate spread or something. Your ideas of socialising are weird.

And why would you have to drink to buy said jar? Couldn't you just not drink and drive home? That would save you lots of hassle in my opinion.

Christmas Eve beering is fantastic. The past 4 years I have been dropped home from the back of a Seat Inca van, an Integra Type R, an E-Class Mercedes and an Audi A4.

Someone always gets stung to drive about six of us home in an advanced stage of mouldification, great craic.

11.30 i'd imagine with half an hour's drinking up time.
