I'm Brazilian and I went to Rio from Dublin.
I stayed in COLINA DE COPACABANA HOTEL is located between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches and also close by Arpoador beach (the surfer's meeting point and the most beautiful sunset in town).

I paid about 44 euros per day. Very good Hotel.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me

    Hello

I didn't have any problem with the hotel. Of course I kept my stuffs in the suitcase looked, I saw many tourists from Uruguay and Argentina at the hotel.
Into the room has a small room looked. You can keep there your stuffs or do like I did.. I put my money and passport under the mattress. :D
The breakfast was great. The room has TV cable and air conditioner.
I recommend you send a message to them and ask for any reference who has been stayed before at hotel.

Any more questions. Don't be shy . ask me...... Bye
