Clarkson was outta his depth and often was unable to respond. Even with editing his body language showed when he couldnt handle a comment he would just turn away from whoever spouted it.

I missed it both times. Pity.

Clarkson's been good on it before. And it is funny watching him have the píss taken out of him too. ^^

I thought it was funny, especially the pen flinging incident.

I don't think Clarkson really cared about what anyone was saying, he just wanted to fly through the whole thing to go to some party. When you're in a rush, you don't tend to pay heed to stupid comments. Maybe they should have got him on a day he wasn't rushing to a party...?

I think the guy is a total dick. A total waste of time and petrol.

^^ Pity it's not true (the dead part that is, the rest is all fact). :(

Chris Morris I presume. One TV genius having a go at another.

    Ed Byrne = **********

I know! When I heared he was on it I cringed as he doesnt come close to the wit of Ian Hislop and Paul Merton. But for once, he wasnt dire, and wasnt a complete embarrasment to the irish nation.

I find Ed Byrne far more watchable than many who sat in a guests seat (and a few of the hosts).

Not many can compare to Ian Hislop and Paul Merton on Have I Got News For You. Especially Paul Merton, he just owns the show.

Paul Merton is a useless fat fcuk who should have hung up his comedy trunks years ago. Just because people laugh at what you say without fail doesn't mean you're funny.

    LOL.

I think most people would be out of their depth talking British politics, media and current affairs with Ian Hislop.

Clarkson is a twat. Hislop and Merton didn't let him away with much.

Clarkson may annoy some people, but at least he handled that truck dirver thing the way it should have been handled. He didn't bow to any pc nonsense and apologise for saying something funny.

not a huge clarkson fan but fair play to him for going on the show knowing he was going to get the piss taken out of him. as for merton not being funny.... come on the man is a legend. as for ian hislop if he ever leaves you may as well cancel the show... end of.

I think Ed byrne ups his game for the UK shows.

    Possible
As RTE would be glad to have him
while the BBC can just get someone else from the queue of people dying to get on if he isnt up to it

Clarkson seemed at bit miffed, like he didn't really want to be there. Ian Hislop is like a cuddly teddy bear, he reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.

    That is all.
