    As somebody who was a complete newbie to music production at the start of 2008, I learned a huge amount from the folks on here.

    I genuinely couldn't have distinguished a pre amp from a pop shield when I started 2008 (with an empty garage in the back garden). I now have a humble (but fully functional) home studio instead... almost the entire gear list (except my drum kit) was bought based on recommendations from folks on here... and ye haven't steered me wrong yet!

    So, thanks, Merry Christmas ... and here's to lots more stupid questions from me in 2009!
