I gotta say credit where credit is due.Ordered a bottle of Finish Line Pro Road cahin lube late on Sun night. With xmas and all really didnt expect del till New Year but it arrived this morn.I know we are on the same island an all but am well happy. Whereas Wiggle......Ordered overshoes and a tyre (Conti Black Chilli) and overshoes took 5 working days and I got an e-mail from them to say the tyre was outta stock until MID-LATE FEB  even though they were in stock when I ordered.

I've had generally good results from both CRC and Wiggle with the occasional delay or out of stock (generally Wiggle on special offers.) Example: I ordered a bike from Wiggle Friday 19th, asking them to change crank and stem length; bike was delivered this morning Tuesday 23rd. That is pretty quick; I had no expectation of it arriving before the New Year.

Yeh, I am also fairly happy with them, ordered cranks/rings/chain pivot tools and they arrived fairly sharpish (~2-3 working days). Was missing the bolt caps for the cranks though, only minor complaint!

Do I sense that you are enjoying Blorg's discomfort not being able to get his hands on the blorg mobile ... ;)

I got a Litespeed Archon with full Dura-Ace. It is sitting in work at the moment but I am home sick- going to the doc this evening in the general direction of work so would be tempted to pop in and get it. So no photos yet (could it be a late entry for nicest bike I wonder :D)

It does, all of a sudden I'm not happy with any of the four that I own.

I wonder if its really a trip to work with a side trip to the doc on the way back from Sallygap on the Archon ... :D

Hmm, I bought an FSA Carbon Compact chainset from them last week and it was missing the cap for the crank too??....No problem I thought, it was replacing an older FSA 53/39 so I'll use the cap from that...Great idea, until it fell off the bike on a club spin on Sunday....Have to go and buy one now I s'pose...Anyone know where you can pick them up?

€3,600 delivered. Which is a lot, but half the European price of €7,200; I can only imagine it would cost even more in Ireland.

    @ Blorg

Did you get wheels with it?
Did you go compact / standard or triple?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,995 ✭✭✭✭blorg

    Yes, it's a complete bike.

    - Litespeed Archon frameset, Chris King headset, Easton EC90SL fork
    - Full Dura-Ace 7800 groupset
    - Mavic R-SYS wheels
    - Ritchey WCS carbon finishing kit

Standard 53/39. I will stick a compact on for the Alps, I am not nuts.

Must say ... fairly impressed with CRC .. first for offering some of the cheapest prices around ... OK .. some items are not in stock ... but hey .. every bit counts.

Ordered Sunday evening ... about 10 items in all .. and fairly bulky ... including 1 cassette .. 3 Ultegra chains .. 3 Shimano 8 speed chains .. bar tape etc etc ... got an e-mail Monday evening that order was processed .... delivered to door 10mins back .. that is 9:30AM on Tuesday morning.

And surprisingly it didn't come with the postman ... seemed to be a courier delivery ... didn't know CRC used couriers ... maybe only for bulky or heavy items ...

And free delivery to boot on a courier service ... fair play. They are going to get a lot more of my business.

Ordered with Wiggle as well on Sunday evening ..... no movement on that order yet ..... ... and that contains the toolkit to install the rest of the items ....
