VFC HK416, hands down. Rock solid, looks awesome, great ROF and range, and accurate as hell.

Although that new Troy is a bit sweet. Are you sure I cant have two ? Please Daddy ? I pwomise I'll be good :)

    My CA M15a1vn

for looks (I love the Vietnam look, if I can lose a little more weight I'll fit in the m56 Webbing I got from ebay!)
    Rate of Fire and accuracy.

edit: even toysing with the idea of making a gbb version, dame ratech and its drop in kits grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Has to be the pig. It's just so much fun to use. It sounds teh sexeh. It has infinite FMJ quotability appeal, and also causes the following to happen;

Me: prone outside the fort at Predator with the M60 deployed. Pred_Bull (who is marshalling) walks up the path to then see me looking down the barrel at him and remarking that the sight of the M60 pointing at him scared the crap out of him.

It has never let me down mechanically either.

Although I have some really lovely AEG's (VFC SCAR,416...)which I think are the cats pj's, I'd have to totally agree with Dave...

    It would have to be my Dboys M4 - for the following reasons;

Never let me down (or anyone I gave it to as a loan'er), was my first AEG and got me into airsoft proper at a very reasonable price.
Bang for buck they are brilliant. :)

i love my brick! aka that piece of **** both elephant sl8 with snazzy plastic gears, my first aeg that i still have albeit in pieces waiting on some donor g36 bits!

    good thread dave., :D

if i had the choice, and i know theres some seriously gucci gear out there, but i would go with my JG G36c, the first gun i got, and still to this day it works perfectly and can out perform a lot of the expencive stuff i have., JG for the win., :D

I'd have to go with my VFC AKS74 too. Looks, durability and performance are all top notch. I'm also considering doing the gas conversion on it.

TM P90, never let me down, never jammed on me and has great range and accuracy,

A&K 249 MKI. I'm a horrible armalite fanboi but carrying that beasty around with that much firepower on such short legs is a great laugh.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 534 ✭✭✭Turncoat

My G&G plastica. Been using it for the past three months and it hasn't let me down. Not even a single misfeed and I've but about 10,000-12,2000 bb's through it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 980 ✭✭✭hairball

My Jing Gong G36c, one of my oldest and most reliable AEGs, it's never had any problems, and i still love how they look, awesome purchase.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,287 ✭✭✭kevteljeur

My A3 'Austrian rifle' by JG. It rocks, but I haven't owned that many AEGs. If someone can introduce me to something that can steal my affections, you are very welcome to try!

(I've shopped for pragmatism; before this, I didn't think anything could steal the crown from my JG G36C, and I hope to get that feeling of 'Wow!' again. That's the great thing about the ongoing development of this sport... )

My AGM M14. Cheap, great range and accuracy. Oh, and the reaction of "Crap he has an M14" that I got more than a few times. Time to get Mids for that baby.

my modified TM G36C - awesomeness bottled! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,515 ✭✭✭Killinator

    JG G36C,
even when I thought it was broke, it wasnt!
Never really failed me and was my first AEG,

Put it this way, try to find a even reasonably bad review about it:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,363 ✭✭✭gerrowadat

G&G HK416 'blowback'. I suspect when I get a guarder hop into it, it'll outperform the JG HK416 (which I also love) as range/accuracy goes, but I just love the feel and noise of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,174 ✭✭✭✭Captain Chaos

My no.1 would have the be the VFC 416 after the stock mod.

I think I am the only one that had a bad experience with the JG G36C, like a lot here it was my first AEG, have it about 2 years now and it was a dud out of the box. Thinks its a hop issue but I've never got round to sorting it.

TM Thompson - 6 years old, not a single upgrade, bit of maintennce or anything. Probably had a few hundred thousand rounds through it. It's still going :D

I hardly ever skirmish this but its my first custom gun, and is the most impressive in my collection, heaviest and most fun to carry around the house, so its my favourite toy, just above my skorpion.

    ... And WoW.

It's truly hard to pick a favourite child, but if I had to, I'd take my G&G SR25 SPR. I was never one for full auto blasting, nor a fan of high caps. I always preferred rand and accuracy over rate of fire but didn't have the patience to be a sniper. Consequently, this marksmans rifle is beyond perfect to me. I can adapt it to anything I do and she listens when I talk...
Couldn't imagine not having it. I miss it royally whenever skirmish without it.

its a slight cheat , but my star scar with the eglm.

nothing like dropping the finger (!) down to the 2nd trigger and wiping the smile off someones face , especially if they've never seen one before.

It is a rare enough gun though.

My King Arms FN FAL... and why! Basically it has never let me down and it looks like a "Gun", it's covered in rust from playin in the rain so much. The flimsy stock is miracle glued back together (thank you random glue tradesman @ T4BB) and it's probably now stronger than it was to begin with. I don't maintain it. There's nothing fancy about it and I don't see them waved about by every Thomas Richard and Harold! She's a beast! I've rarely skirmished anything else...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 453 ✭✭seamus-2k7

Mine has to be my kwa g17. I've had it about a year now, never let me down untill the cold came along. It cost €70 and it out out preforms other gbb's twice its price.
