What constitutes evidence of seeking employment

    Hi all,
I finished college in May and have been working from June until last Friday, I went to sign onto jobseekers allowance today and was told I need to produce 3 peices of evidence proving I have been actively seeking a job in the next 14 days for my claim to be approved.

Having been unemployed for a grand total of 1 working day I havent been doing much active seeking (I guess I could have got looking a few weeks in advance), I was just wondering what is accepted as proof I have applied for jobs? I fully intend on filling out some of the (very long) application forms for some grad schemes out there, if I bring a copy of the app forms and a print out of my email to them would this do?

Thanks for the help in advance

Register with FAS would be one!If your details are on their system you are actively seeking and/or waiting on a vacancy matching your details to pop up.

And if you have applied for any jobs keep a record of the details, company title, etc

/me wipes away a tear of laughter!

Yer lucky to hear anything back from the SoB's, these days!

OP, print out a copy of the sent emails to various places that are within what you're looking for. Just because you aren't qualified, doesn't mean you can't apply for them :D

the syco gives you good advice here OP,there is no need to restrict your ambitions to jobs you have the right amount of experience for.You can easily apply for jobs that you can't hope to get due to lack of experience...you just have to show proof of applying !!!!!!!!:pac::pac::pac:
