Hi has anyone had any dealings with etravel.ie or e-travel.ie . I looking to book a week away but i havent come across any reviews about this site. The reason i ask is that im a bit weary about the payment section and that it doesnt seem very secure. Also would it be coming practise for a travel agent to charge less for flights than the airline itself?
Sorry mods if im in the wrong section.

Used them a couple of times for long-haul trips a few years ago and found them pretty good. Can't remember there being any particular concerns over the security of their payment section, but just tried paying for a dummy flight there and it's showing up as being a secure server. If you have any doubts call them and book over the phone instead. I remember having to phone them over something and they were really helpful.

They've been around for at least 5-6 yrs now, so not fly-by-nights.

as always to check if a payment is secure.. have a look at the beginging of the url...

regular url will begin HTTP:// .....

A SECURE URL = HTTPS:// ..... NB/ THE S IS TELLING YOU THE THING IS SECURE...

Have a look at you interent banking site... this will illustrate the difference after you log on to your account!

Used them before for flights (the days of printed tickets a few moons ago) and they were fine, below direct airline prices at the time too.

Make payment over the phone if you are in any way worried about the website security credentials.
