Funeral on Christmas Day

Just wondering, if anyone ever heard of a funeral on Christmas day. I've just found out that I have to go to one this year. I didn't think the priest would allow it. I don't mind too much even though it's going to take a big chunk of the day gone between traveling and the burial but I feel sorry for families with young children who have to travel and may be only off for Christmas day and Stephens day.

Never heard of one on Christmas day before. What Christian denomination is the deceased of.
On an aside, and a slightly happier note, I got married on Christmas day.

*Damn, dashes off to get a present. Hum, China or platinum! China is cheaper.*

Dont think thats allowed, if someone dies on say the 23rd or 24th they will usually be wakened until stephens day and buried on the 27th
