when you VRT the car they will fill out the first motor tax form, which you send off. When you get the tax back you also get the reg cert.

I hate VRT myself but why should it? One of them is a sales tax. One of them is for driving on Irish roads.

What you reckon would happen if the government had a policy going that would encourage importing cars by being exempt from road tax for a year?
