Hey, just wondering could ye experts on here answer s question for me. i'am just finding out about the different FTA options, when you tune in a signal from say the astra sat as well as bbc 1,2 and regions do you get all the bbc interactive streams.
For example when they say press red, can you have them channels on a freesat receiver?
I hope you can follow me and iam not missing the point

To see interactive features by pressing the "red button" you need Sky box or Freesat box.

I have FTA receiver and can not use "red button" but i have all interactive streams showing as independent channels on my channel list. So answer is yes you can see Interactive streams on FTA receiver but you will have to add them as channels. (there is about 6 of them, i think)

They show up as stream 0, stream 1 etc they show the live darts , snooker etc and are great .
U do not get access to text or the language change though.

The live streams are very handy, esp. for sport.

The World Darts is on this week & the Masters Snooker is on next week. What more could you want. :)

Freesat Boxes will do BBC Sports streams and the interactive digital text (CEEFAX replacement) but can't yet do BBC News streams
