How long should it take for garmin to find satellite?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 which seems to take an age to find satellites. What is the norm, it has aeriel up and view of sky etc

In your car? Is your windscreen tinted?
Does is take long to aquire outside of your car?

I've had intermittent problems of the same nature with the 2 Garmin 250's I've had. Maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks it would show the message ‘Acquiring Satellites' for anywhere between 3 and 6 mins, then it would carry on as normal. Ordinarily it acquires after about 30 seconds.
Not much help I know...
