Any chance of a thread dedicated to diving clubs? Could be stickied to provide clubs a place to advertise their existence.

On the CFT website you'll find the list of clubs:
    http://www.cft.ie/clubs.htm

    And here's some PADI centers:
    Kilkee (Clare) OceanLife http://www.oceanlife.ie
    CastleGregory (Kerry) http://www.waterworld.ie/

Theres also a map on MyDiveLocker.ie which shows the contact info and locations for both Dive Clubs and PADI centres in Ireland

Go to http://www.mydivelocker.ie/ and click 'Map' from the man toolbar

Are all clubs in Ireland affiliated to CFT? Is there any clubs affiliated to PADI?

Most of the clubs are affiliated with CFT (CMAS), few are affiliated to BSAC ( the british organisation, for example the UL diving club is affiliated to the scottish diving club SSAC ).

Practically all the Diving Centers are PADI ( As the PADI is structures for commercial purpose )

The cross-over between agency are quite easy

There are a few clubs which have no affiliations at all. I can't think of the website or there name, but they are already certified divers and do not provide training themselves, just a bunch of likeminded individuals who get wet......

Try www.scuba.ie for a list of dive centres and schools. Some have their own club or association. Some non-CFT clubs are quite good, I was in a couple myself.
